Beautiful- as is

Agree beautiful as is!

It’s very hard to walk away from a painting when we wonder, am I finished? I really like this as is! One suggestion, walk away from it, give it a few days and go back to it. Stand back and with refreshed eyes, you’ll know what to do next.

Maybe something in the foreground? Doesn't have to be the focal point of the painting

This is how we learn isn't it. We've all asked ourselves this question at some time or other. Steph is right, take a break and look again later. Also, Kevin Hill answered this question really well, he said, your painting is finished when adding things doesn't improve it. I don't even think Bob would slap a big tree on this one, more likely he'd be dipping into his thin red paint right now.
In my view this painting is about three things, softness, distance, and sparsity. And it has them all in spades, no need to add anything. If I did want to add something I would choose something low lying like a frozen puddle. But it's your painting and it's finished when you say it is. Hope that helps.
It's very beautiful by the way.

Let me ask you these few questions while you walk away for a bit : 1. What is a center of the compositional arrangement/ maybe you want to add a little animal by the mid stump? Maybe traces on the snow to lead the eye to that animal?

2. What was in your mind that you decided to paint this scene? Something has inspired you. Is it still there? It shows vast space, calm, static. You can think what way you would like to proceed to keep that calmness or maybe disturb it by some strong diagonal addition.

looks great to me, as is. love the depth and the desolate nature of it.
