I wanted to enter an online Winter exhibition painting. Since all submissions have to be our original creations, I got inspired by a picture online of a winter scene with this color scheme and lighting setup. I def would like to spend some very soothing and relaxing time in these woods.
⚠️ UPDATED PAINTING ⚠️
After looking at my compo from a distance, my old fence bothered me a lot. It was too big. So I scraped it off and made a smaller one. Much better imho! 😉😎
Stunning! Love the back glow and contrast between the yellows and browns. I especially love that moose! Beautiful work as always, Ninoum.
Thank you very much TLP! Glad you like the mood in this one: 🥰
Thank you bunchy Kerri! You saw my little happy moose!!! 🙌🏼 Happy you like my color palette! 😊
Awesome.
I'm loving the colour scheme and the lighting. 🥰
Excellent job. It is great.
Super Nancy. Top work as always 👍🏼🇩🇪
Awesome light and shadow
Lovely warm lighting!
Amazing N! Wonderful moose, he’s so tiny and perfect as well. Great job N✌️
The updated fence look better indeed. 👍🏼
Beautiful trees and wonderful lightning; a lot of snow had fallen there!
So beautiful!
So incredible!! I love everything about this.
So peaceful and beautiful - just fantastic! I didn't mind the first fence. Loving that moose!
Beautiful
Very good. You did an awesome job with the lightning.
lovely lil cabin Nancy!Me luvs your work,Cheers,P
I was already impressed, but now! Making alterations and blending it seamlessly into the existing work is impressive. Where I live (low humidity) the brown would have hardened by the next day, and would have required sandpaper or intense knife pressure to scrape.
But! I mainly came here to ask for your wisdom on working with these colors, blueish hues and goldy yellows. Any advice on keeping them from going green?
I just saw everyone's comments! I am overwhelmed with lots of joy. Thank you so much Titia (happy you like my updated version better aka fence), Dee, my super friend Dirk 🤗🇩🇪, Kelly, B (Glad you like my lil friend! 😊), Jos (that was the exact effect I was going for... lots of snow), Sandy, my beautiful Elsie, Pam (I could have left the fence alone. It wasn't an eye sore. But because I wanted to enter an online exhibition, I thought that might be a detail that would lessen my chances), Bob, Tom (I thought you might like my lighting in this one. Glad you do. It's Tom approved! Lol!), P mio amico, and last but not least Jeff!
Glad you asked Jeff! What I did was to NOT paint from the get-go or remove the blueish snow before putting my yellow paint. It worked wonderfully!
This is straight up beautiful, man. You knocked it outta the park!
Awww! Thank you very much Chris! 🥰
