Original Creation

“Rainbound” Cabin

Ninoum 01 May 2023

Niv, this one is for you… The Sky Master!

I loaded my sky with a stormy and rainy mood. All kind of clouds, still seeing some blue… about to vanish. It’s raining in the lower atmosphere of the Pacific Northwest, and coming quickly to a cabin near you.

This “Original” Bad Weather Event composition is actually a BR combo from 5 different episodes… “Snowbound Cabin”, Black & White Seascape”, “Bubbling Brook”, “Blaze of Color” and “Golden Knoll”.

I know this isn’t a winning painting but I had fun creating this one. I always wanted to challenge myself with combining few of BR’s painting. This was my opportunity.

Awesome! Good work!

Awesome! Good work!

Thank you WholeDill! 😀

Nice job Nancy. I don't think that roof is keeping anyone dry :)

Lol! Indeed Tony! It needs a little TLC!

Thank you my friend Tomi!

Beautiful N and great use of elements of 5 different episodes!

Amazing work Nancy! Even the big tree looks wet! Such a great composition!

Beautifully done, Nancy, the contrast of darkness in the background and light in the foreground is great. You can see the storm coming. 👍🏼😎

Nicely done Nancy, love it!

Really awesome painting! Very foreboding and stormy!

There's a storm coming for sure! Love this one Nancy, everything works wonderfully, but to me my favourite part is the big tree on the right, the way you captured what light there is in the painting and put it on the bark is almost magical 😉

Thank you B! I wanted to have fun and try to make different scenes work together. I sketched it out 1st to make sure that would work. I just attached the drawing I made of this painting.

Thank you Marc! This actually made me think a lot. Even tho I followed the instructions of Bob. It’s a great start to start creating things from my own imagination. I admire so much that skill of yours!

Thank you my friend! 🇩🇪😀 we have very similar scenes in FL… strong rain & madness incoming and stillness in the foreground with sunshine. The weirdest weather moments!

Thank you Tom! 😊

Thank you Sandy! 😃

Thank you Niv! I know my rain clouds are too “cotton ball” shaped like but I can live with it. We actually see those type of clouds (called mamatus) when there are lots of upper atmospheric disturbances.

That tree was so easy and simple to do! Check episode “Blaze of Color” or “ Mountain Moonlight Oval” to see how Bob does it. It’s done with a fan blush only. You’ll like so much that you’ll want to put them in all of your paintings! Lol! 😅

Very nice!

Thx Cold! 😊

Mgiese84 Cleanest Technique In The Game

Love it!

Thank you very much Matt! 😊

Go for it Nancy! I'm absolutely confident you can do it!

Awww! Thank you Marc! 😊

I don't know why you thin k this isn't a winning painting. Your work is beautiful. Your technique is neat. The composition is great. Winner for sure. BTW, my money is on you, Matt and David.

Excellent work Nancy :) I love the cabin and storm!

I really appreciate Tomi! There are some great paintings and more will come in. Mine is interesting but I don’t get the wow effect when I look at it. It might be because I created it… my own worse critique for sure. lol!

Thank you Daniel! The star of the painting is def the storm. I used a lot of space on my canvas to showcase that element since it’s the event’s topic. The cabin being a sense of safety. Very reassuring in stormy weather!

Great job Nancy! I'm fond of a rainy day, so this one gives me the good feels.

Thank you Alex! Rainy days are very soothing. The sound of the rain… the best part of it!
