Original Creation

Amaryllis • Annette Kowaski

Ninoum 23 Apr 2024

I felt a little more confident to try one of the floral packets that I ordered a month ago… the amaryllis. There are barely any explanations/instructions, which is a little frustrating even with the knowledge I just acquired at the workshop.

But I tried to follow the guidance of Nic while doing this one.

Very nice

Excellent stuff! I particularly like the colour variation in the leaves. Whilst I enjoy painting flowers I won't be supporting the Kowalskis by buying any of their products out of respect for Bob and Steve. When my current Bob Ross Inc paints have ran out, I'm changing to Gamblin. The story according to Steve: https://youtu.be/_lUiTPn8kHs

Wow really gorgeous!

Thank you super much my friend! 🇩🇪🤗

Thank you bunches Matt! ☀️

Thank you TLP! As far as the Kowaskis & Bob Ross Inc, lots of what is out there is wrong. I thought like you at first but I do have a different opinion nowdays. We asked Nic to tell us honestly what has happened with that feud. Steve had many opportunities to be part of his father’s legacy. Unfortunately, he declined. When he was ready to return, it was too late. Nic had the proof of everything of what he was telling us, to back the story up. The Netflix documentary presented only 1 side of the story. Always remember that there are at least 2. The company is taking a refreshing turn with Nic (now vice-president of BRI). The Joy of painting has a new logo, and as we now know, a new host. The future is very promising, and I am confident that Nic will uplift BRI to a much needed new level. I get your point of view tho. Time will tell how this new adventure will take BRI.

Thank you so much Sandy! 🤗

Thank you Jessie! They create a nice element of interest! Don’t they?! 😃

Thank you Dee! 😊

You are so sweet! Thank you Elsie! 🤗

Thank you bunchy Dave! ☀️

Thank you for the explanation, I know nothing about the new set up to be honest, so my first thought is damage limitation, bringing in someone in who is more popular than they are to turn it around. That's something that any astute business people would do. Families fall out don't they and there are regrets. What doesn't sit right with me is what you said right there "when he was ready to return it was too late." It's never too late, they are worth millions off the back of Bob, and they could come to some arrangement that they could all agree on. It's sad if Bob didn't get what he wanted. But this is what happens when people fall out, business becomes personal. Maybe do what my old primary school teacher used to do - bang their heads together.

I'm just looking at your leaves again, they really are very beautiful. I love the effect the crimson has. It's surprising how many varieties have crimson on the underside and often along the main veins. I enjoy painting foliage, you've reminded me to do more! Lowell Speers sparked my interest a while ago, and Gary and Kathwren Jenkins have done some fine examples. They don't half make it look easy, I love their work.
