I found a great tutorial on achieving a watercolor appearance in an oil painting. I've seen Nic Hankins do something similar, but this one really spoke to me. The path actually looked better when i had used less paint on it, but i couldn't resist my typical instinct to layer on the paint. When aiming for that light, watercolory look, leaving more open areas areas is desirable. I learned a lot from this, and this isn't the last time I'll do something like this.
Great work, love the bark the path.
Looks fantastic! Love the path and the trees ! The watercolor look is so pretty!
Beautiful work Nick!

It is a very nice vignette. The look of the more detailed forest on this type of background is beautiful. Also I like it is not oval/square/etc but more complex shape. I think it looks more as gouache. I will search Bram channel to see what the technique is. I like this style it is so unusual. I will check tomorrow again to see details better when the screen is not in the night mode.
