Got inspired this morning to paint some trees. Would like some thoughts, what I could have done better.
Beautifully soft painting, just my cup of tea. I'm not sure you could have done anything better. Your tall trees are lovely. I'm not sure why you chose to put them all in a straight line or so close to the waters edge but there's nothing wrong with that. I might have put a smaller one a bit further back towards the mid ground just to draw your eye into the painting a bit to take advantage of that fabulous background you have going on in the distance, but it's great the way it is. The leaves on your trees are great, I would like to try that effect, and you've got nice detail in the grass also, just the right amount. Very nice.

this is so good, well done on the original work! I agree with Landscape in that it is great as it is, and not much could be done to 'improve' it. But in the name of being constructively critical, I'll say that dramatic lighting can take things to the next level.
