Scenic Tree Road - Kevin Hill

NTZArt 20 May 2023

Another little gem from Kevin! I learn lots once more. This time I was very well geared up… I got Kevin’s brushes and boy does that make a difference on the outcome! His are quite different. My fav is his liner brush. You can do the smallest detail you’ve never been able to do even in your dreams.

I added 2 big rocks on the side of the path on each side, and some pink leaves on the ground which Kevin didn’t have to my surprise. I also gave the path the slatted effect to imitate small rocks. I am pretty happy about this one.

Absolutely gorgeous !!

Super painting Nancy, 👍🏼i must go to work 🇩🇪Maybe there will be something else in terms of painting

Beautiful Nancy. I love the softness of the tree. How are Kevin's brushes different? I'm still not overjoyed with Bob's and am currently experimenting with different brushes and their effects.

Thank you Tomi! Kevin's brushes are really great quality. Few of them are different than Bob's... detail brush, 1/4" flat brush, #4 Filbert and his script liner. I took a picture of them and attached them to this post. Now that I know how to use them, I love them. The one that would have baffled me the most is the detail brush since I used it with Kevin only so far. They really get you to to the same effects as Kevin. I was struggling a lot before doing his tutorials with Bob's. I'd say that the script liner brush is the one that I would recommend to everyone. You have so much control and yet can achieve the smallest/thinnest details ever.

Nancy, you have certainly painted a scenic road past the trees. Absolutely terrific, well promoted. Cheers

Thank you very much Dave! 😊

Hi Nancy, just making a correction - 'painting' was the word I meant to use and thought I typed - but it would appear the 'word changing demon' in the ether got his way. It is nearly bedtime for this old guy - so who knows.. Cheers

Hahaha! I love how you call your “auto correct”!! No worries! I get this issue too often! Glad to see I’m not the only one! 😆

Thank you P! I have another one of Kevin that I will get to at some point with another pink tree. They make the painting special for sure.

Thank you DaveF! The path took me a little bit of time and work to make it good because of the shadows and lighting. It had to be right on.

I knew it was one of yours even before I saw your name on it!, very Nancy this one, pretty colours and as always you have captured the light beautifully 🤩

Wow Nancy, really great! I really should look into kevins videos some time.
