I was able to finish it up today. I added more mist over the existing foliage. I also added the foreground branches and foliage on the left and right side of the upper part of the painting.
I have attached the previous version as well as the picture I painted from.
Incredible and I will leave it at that!

I took a detail brush (long cylinder pointy synthetic brush) and put different colors spots that matched the picture’s dead leaves colors. It didn’t take that long.
You did very well. As I said you learned so much, it is incredible!
