I started out planning to do a version of Bob's Birch Tree lesson using various Gesso's but at the last minute I thought I'd try the same technique for a mountain and this is what turned out.

Completely agree with Pam's comment--you nailed it by making the evergreens tiny. Also love the subtle mountain highlight and reflection of the aurora colors.
