This is larger than I usually paint It is a 24 x 36 canvas but I think it turned out OK

That looks great, I have tried lighting but this never turn out how i feel they should. How do you do it?

Paintcrazy. I actually used a VERY thin pencil to sketch in the bolt ( after allowing the paint to dry ) then I dipped a ultra thin brush in linseed oil. then ran that into Titanium White and just followed the traced line

Fiery sky! Great lighting MHK. Awesome color contrast.
I've wanted to try painting lightning before, but I've yet to do it. I think that painting it on a black canvas, and underpainting the glow of the lighting first, would help to sell the effect really nicely. I still have to try it to find out though.
