A seascape with some extra color. The splashes gave me a bit of trouble. Added the flowering bushes to add some interest. Fairly happy with the end result.
Thank you so much, Alex. I feel the same about most seascapes so I fully understand what you are saying. They sometimes leave you wanting for something more. I really enjoyed adding the extras to this. I really appreciate your kind words.
I agree. Your painting has a good balance between water and land. Maybe that's what is usually missing from seascapes...balance.
I could even see this scene from a little more distant perspective where the mountains are smaller and there are a few more bushes/flowers in front with maybe a bit of green grass in front of those.
Anyway, this is good just as it is. 👍
One last comment...this could easily be framed, sold, and hung on someone's wall. In my opinion, it's that good.
Thank you so very much. Your comments bless me immensely!
I love the fairy tale feeling from your painting. Great job!

They are all wonderful, unfortunately it is a short list of Ivan Aivazovsky paintings but will be a good start to fulfill curiosity.
Thank you Sunnylady. I will take a look at this link. I love finding new ideas and learning from those before us.

While I'm not really a fan of seascapes (usually skip over those Bob Ross episodes), yours caught my eye. I think the flowers, rocks, trees, and sand are what did it. It's not just a mass of water, but there's a landscape there. Ooh. Just noticed the distant mountain range. Now I really like it. Very nice painting.
