30x40’ largest to date for me. Ignore the glare. Kinda has a tribal feel to it. Dozens of undead and dead heads coming to visit. I never do paintings like this and prolly won’t ever do another. Unfortunately, I became frustrated and threw it out(burned it actually) 🥺have you ever destroyed one of yours?
I have tossed a few as well, and just trashed 1 yesterday - UGH. But it only cost $2 so not too painful. LOL sometimes it's just NOT a happy accident 😡
It's a really interesting painting. Did you burn it because you didn't like it, or you got too frustrated in the process?
BTW, I never trashed one of my paintings, but I sanded off many of them.
I managed to learn how to stop when I get frustrated in the process. I do pause minimum for a cup of tea. When I come back (if the same day) I mostly would scrub the oil paint with pallet knife and wipe the rest with piece of rug.
Once I was so mad I pierced canvas. Never burned one.
I generally keep bad ones too to apply a new fresh painting on top after sanding.
Abstract paintings are very difficult if you are into representational art. Brain does not want to be switched off from making something real.
Good attempt, keep going. If you want to investigate abstract go to composition/design classes for a bit of knowledge. Landscapes can survive with bad design - abstract no.
Oh man I like it. Sad you destroyed it. I like your abstract pieces.
It's a very effective piece really !
I don't burn mine, I recycle all my happy little accidents lol.

I have tossed a few, never burned one though! I'm thinking the smell would be quite noxious lol. Did you film the burning? That could be art in itself!
