A Peter Sheeler tutorial. Started with pencil sketch then watercolour then lastly ink outlines.
Still learning and making mistakes.. This turned out crooked and oblong. I had to trim it so now it is even more wide. (would not fit into a standard frame)

I added more layers to the bird.. But I definitely need more bird drawing skills on this one...

@tom0779.. I found yours and left a message there .. looks great..i totally agree on the layering of colours.. I am going to try this one again.

Very cute. I find birds in general very tricky creatures to capture. You got all the feathers in the right place and the red colouring is well done. I'd say this is pretty excellent for a first attempt.

Fantastic job LJM! I think you found one more media in painting that works awesome for you!

Thanks for the encouragement @LinzeePaints. I like the bird better with more colour in it. But..I still feel like that I am "winging it". lol pun intended.

Thanks Sunnylady.. I am really enjoying watercolour painting. As you know I like to sketch too..so this is like a next step for me along that path.. It is a totally different technique .. I hope to get better at it.
