I did this painting from an online tutorial with Bram. I wanted to practice painting mountains and trees before I took on a Bob Ross original. I really enjoyed creating the sky in complimentary colors. It was a challenge not to get a green hue where the purple met the orange. It was also a challenge for me to create lighter looking mountains in the back and slowly darken each layer as they got closer to the front. I thought I had lightened each layer enough but, in the future, I'll be sure to create more of a contrast. The misty effects were fun to create as well and being that the Smokies are in my home state of NC, I was naturally drawn to this piece and had to try it.
Thank you!
