I did this when I first started painting a few months ago. I followed a tutorial by WildCreates and was attracted by the cool colors of the scene. I wanted to keep it simple while practicing my mountains, so I used an angled shader here for them. Got a little carried away practicing my water lines, so let's just say it was a really windy day here-lol. I really enjoyed the technique of lifting my brush "up" to create hundreds of tree trunks in the midground. And of course I cannot call my painting complete until I put a bird in it :-)
Cool color scheme. The water looks great; the extra strokes give it a foamy feel (or icy for a colder climate).
Great use of color and I really like the water very much! Maybe ice as Jon noted. Welcome to TIB!👍✌️
