Went for another horse attempt on an 18x24” canvas. I found this as a photo online and sketched it out first, then went for it on the canvas! I love the look and especially happy with the *slightly* more realistic look!
I added some progress photos, I did complete this in one sitting and started with a dry canvas. By putting on my first super thin coat everywhere I was then able to layer on top just as if it were liquid white only with my intended base colors! Such a learning experience. Can’t wait to show y’all the next one I’m working on!
Thank you Tony! It’s been drying for a couple days but I still can’t get a quality photo of it to share here!
This is beautiful! I love the background mountains and the tall grasses. I do feel like if the mountains were more faint, your horse would stand out better (sunnylady gave me this advice on one of mine about the background:) But that horse is fantastic! I love the shot of him looking back at the camera. The blending on the brown spots on the white is done so well and the tail and mane are very nice! I can not believe you did this in one day - that is awesome!
NICE HORCY ..GREAT JOB.
Very nice!
Beautiful! Love the mountains and tall grasses and the placement of the horse is really good!
