Ultimately I had a small plan for lots of distance and equally as much color if possible. I think the only thing missing is a little stream but maybe I’ll save that for the next one!
Very nice
Stunningly beautiful. Your technique is on point.
Thank you everyone! Alex, I usually spend between two to four hours painting from set up to clean up. This one I believe brought me in around 3. I love how much you can accomplish even on a larger canvas in a matter of hours, rather than days or weeks.. That may be why I love this technique so much.
I found the on the go composing to take more of my time up but with a simple quick sky, I spent most of my time on the mountains and after the first couple I felt I could continue for much longer of given the space. Overall, I am thrilled with the outcome even more today!
As you should be thrilled, Kaylee. It's a great painting. Can't wait for your next one.

There's still time to add that stream, Kaylee. The oils are still wet. 🙂
Great painting. I like Bob's creations, but it's also great to see what people can come up with out of their own imagination. I like the cliffs on the right blending in with greenery going up their slopes. Of course, the trees are good, too.
How long did this take you?
