Painted 'Windmill' two days ago or so, was unhappy with it and decided both cabin and barn could use some serious pimping as well as the windmill. So I took the bravery test to improve this painting.
After considering some very useful advice from the community to save this painting, I formulated a solution and applied it.
The solution was to highlight the sky more and both buildings somewhat. More blue was used for the sky. And a dark paint was used for the buildings. I used a slight drop of white paint there as well to create highlights.
I added many new fields with a makeup fan brush.
For the windmill, I added many highlights and more dark black where required.
The pimped painting was very well improved. The end result is remarkable and as I had anticipated, the buildings really stand out now against the foreground.
I finally feel happy and ready to call this creation 'Windmill'.
I have pimped a painting before with many trees and truly believe it is worth trying it.
The key to it is to discover how to make your unhappy creation a little bit better.
Hope you enjoy this new version!
Stay safe and have fun painting.
