This started as a fully formed image in my mind, and grew more complicated as it progressed. I wanted to portray a lone hut on a cliff at the focal point, with lots of sky, and a feeling of high elevation. The story I see here is in the genre of a roleplaying game or fantasy novel, where your quest leads you here.
