A friend of mine showed me some art they enjoy, so I wanted to take a stab at recreating it for practice. I consider this a rough draft, done relatively quick with almost no detail added. Someday, I intend to add to this one, and/or use this as inspiration for a bigger piece. I can see now I need to darken all over, especially the sky. This is 8x10 canvasboard.

#2 glazed painting to darken/ add a vignette effect. (Linseed oil+burnt sienna+Prussian blue, then dabbed off with paper towel)

thanks! I've added the reference picture for comparison. I like the vignette effect in the reference, so I may give it a bit of a glaze to achieve that.
