This is my maiden attempt at an original painting, so I was excited but also a little doubtful about the result. I only wanted to include everything I had learned and loved so far from Bob and Steve Ross's Joy of Painting - pastel skies, clouds, the sun, mountains, snow, the falls, evergreens, bushes, those lovely highlights and of course the happy accidents along the way. I kept hearing his voices in the background, "And just like that, you can make a happy little sky..", "Don't forget the lay of the land", "Every tree needs a friend." and so on. I tried not to forget the lay of the land, while laying out the snow and the bushes. I'm happy I enjoyed every moment of it. Painting makes me happy, that's all I've learnt so far from Bob Ross and that's all I'm still learning. Thanks twoinchbrush for helping me share, and making it all the more worth it!
Thanks a lot, Felix! Feels great, coming from you :)
