I read a devotional and this is one of the images that always displays when it is opened. Always wanted to paint it.
Thank you Tel, a devotional is a daily reading and insight, sometimes a few pages sometimes a few paragraphs depending what it is, that references a passage of scripture or some other source of material that is used to give comfort, bring insight or impart new information or wisdom. That’s probably the best technical explanation. It doesn’t necessarily have to be tied to spiritual things. It could be themed along other sources, although when it is mentioned it often is referencing something spiritual. For this painting specifically, I was using a Joseph Prince devotional within the youversion Bible app as a guide for the painting.
