This painting was originally inspired by Buck Paulson, however I adjusted the composition, used slightly different shades of color and the knife was used extensively on the foreground including the tree leaves. A strong balance of light and dark draws the viewer towards the sun in the distance. This painting was completed on a 9 by 12 inch canvas, using a limited palette of soft oil colors.
