Now this is what I call a happy accident: As you probably know by now I love to paint deeo forest scenes. But I never tried one with primarily evergreens. So in my head I planned out a simple scene with a pathway through an evergreen forest. But when I put it on the canvas I started way to high up on the canvas for my idea! So without that happy accident I wouldn't have tried that beautiful little cliffside with the waterfall. Happiest accident I could've had!
Painted on 50x50cm stretched canvas
This is wonderful! I love the color combination, reminds me of landscape illustrations of ancient forests in dinosaur books I used to look at as a kid.
A happy accident indeed ... just beautiful.
Gorgeous...love it!
Thanks Tom! Thats certainly true. The background still reguires a fair amount of blending but after that it's only water bodies if there are aupposed to be any
Thank you Jessie! Now that you say it it really looks kind of ancient!

Great work Marc. These forrest scenes are very suitable for acrylics. Little blending work but a lot of layering is needed. This is perfect for them.
