This was inspired by Michael Chapman who can be found on Facebook. He is the first I’ve seen to add footsteps in the snow.
I enjoyed this one very much after I got past the shelf paper stage. The next one will be easier now that I’ve figured out the compass work with the help of Thom Stevens on YouTube https://youtu.be/AiErcURNdR8
I highly recommend the “Duck 20” x 30’ shelf liner that can be purchased at Lowe’s. I found it easier to work with than contact paper and I didn’t have paint bleed under around the edges.
This was hard to photograph. The shadows are a dark bluish shade in the painting.
Beautiful job. Great branch and shadow work. Color contrast to foreground also excellent. Very nice.
Thank you lightsnow and Ajcus for your kind comments. 😊 This was a joy to paint.
The marks on the ground are very nice
Thank you, I like the effect also and it’s easy to do.

Great idea adding those footprints there! This is a really beautiful painting, well done.
