I painted this bird from a reference photo. 9 x 12 hardboard, Liquitex Heavy Body and Heritage acrylics. I purchased the Jensenart Fusion brush sets flats and filberts to paint the birds. Turns out they are the same bristles as the Dynasty Faux Squirrel brushes that I use for oils. I mostly use the flats and my Dynasty faux squirrel round size 2. They all work well for detail.
Thank you gloworm.
Great job!
Wonderful!
Beautiful bird and background Debbie ✌️
Great greens n luv the birdie!
So pretty! I like how the titmouse stands out against the greenery.
The depth is incredible! Really shows off the bird.
Thanks to you for the input. I was inspired by Grok images to paint the bird near the ground. I’ve found here that the darker background is best to keep the bird the focal point.
Wow, terrific work. Agree, the depth is outstanding and helps to showcase your subject.
This is so beautiful!
Thank you for the kind words Jon and Kerri!

Thank you Sunnylady. I love these little birds so my heart was in it.
