My second favorite bird. I feed them almonds every morning from a deck railing where they are always patiently waiting!
Another Jensen tutorial, I’m finding the birds easier to paint than flowers 😆. I’ll stick with the torture to improve.
Painted on 9 x 12 hardboard, gesso front and back to prevent warping. They were recommended by Jensen and are great for practice. The smooth surface works well for detail. Liquitex heavy body and Jensens’ Heritage acrylics.
