Painted on a 9 x 12 hardboard using Liquitex Heavy Body and Heritage acrylics. The female has so many subtle colors she is a bit hard to capture without overdoing.

Your birdies are starting to look alive!
Thank you Helen. I've mostly painted in oils but working with acrylic for the birds. I have found it easier to multi layer in the foliage and bird with acrylic.
