This is another Chuck Black tutorial that I spent a lot of time working on details on this small 8x10 stretched canvas. He goes into great detail on the paint preparation and color mixing that I found helpful.
Very nice work. I especially like the soft colors in the sky.
Gorgeous Debbie! Your hard work on those details paid off. Your sky is amazing!
Love this one Debbie! The light looks great including the electric lighting!
Thank you PB! That's why I'm drawn to Chuck Black as his paintings almost look like photos. Definitely a challenge with a long way to go.
Thanks Tom, I spent too much time on that sky but pleased with what I learned. On to the next!
Nancy, thanks for the kind words! It was an adventure.
Thanks Brian, and thank you for noticing those tiny lights! It was the first I'd painted and they weren't too difficult.
Beautiful scene :) I love the play of light and distance and your buildings are really well done.
Thanks so much Daniel!
I have also watched some Chuck Black and enjoy his work. Your sky here is Fantastic! A lovely painting.
Thanks Pam, I’ve been learning a lot about his techniques. It requires a lot of fine detail and time but I do like the results.
