I set out to do “Blue River” (Season 6, Episode 1)…. First attempt I forgot to put the liquid clear on top of the black gesso 🤦🏼♀️. Second attempt, I put too much liquid clear… hot mess!!! Third attempt: the canvas is a pale nasty green because of all the wiping off. I covered it with a very thin coat of liquid white and then decided to practice - mountains, water, and highlights on trees. I also painted rocks for the first time. I like them☺️. I would love some constructive feedback. This is titled “Take 3” for obvious reasons 🤪
I especially like the rocks, the tall trees, and the suggestion of flowering plants at foreground right. Good practice!
Nice one EO. Getting the right amount of clear is tricky. You need such a small amount. When applying LC, I literally scrub it into the canvas without leifting the brush from the canvas.
Thank you TonyM! I will try again soon with your suggestion.
