I painted this from a photo I took when I visited Catalina Island off the coast of California. For some reason, my husband doesn't like this painting. So, I'm wondering what's wrong with this painting. Maybe it's the perspective. I was standing high on a hill overlooking this harbor and I tried to paint it like I saw it.
Thank you Jeffth!
I would agree with you. Probably perspective is a bit off. This is in my opinion toughest view to paint landscape from high point.
I would say if you still have the photo to try to check shore line and how color in the water changes with the distance.
