More AZ beauty! Do you prefer acrylic or oils? I’ve not painted with acrylic other than some underpainting.

I've always preferred oils but have come to love using acrylics. I decided to change to acrylics because of health issues and being worried about the toxins used in paint thinner. I was thinking about how young Bob Ross was when he died and his wife too and wondering if it was linked to his use of paint thinner.

I’ve had those thoughts too. I’m very careful not to come into contact with the thinner and have plenty of air moving. Hopefully it’s enough. I use baby oil sometimes and it works pretty well.

Once I learned how to work with acrylics I realized that you couldn't tell the difference from oils. But you have to use good acrylics and know how to blend them. Oils are easier to work with but I've adapted.
