16x20. Despite using a #2 liner brush and oil/pain thinner, I still can't seem to get very fine weeds or limbs. Is there a thinner brush or technique I am missing? I also accidentally splattered some blue spots in the sky in the middle of the canvas while cleaning a brush so I just used some magic white and splattered that all over to make it look like it was snowing. Happy accidents!
Liner brushes, when fully loaded, tend to take on a flat shape. Make sure your brush is angled correctly. Personally, I don't care for the Bob Ross liner brush. I prefer a longer and softer bristle. As for the thinner, I haven't figured that out myself. Nice job on the painting. Keep at it.
Very thin paint is key , turn the brush as you pull it through the paint. Split hairs can be cut off
love the stream particularly beautiful colour .. great job.. paint should be like ink I have found and also a good quality brush to hold enough paint really helps to avoid lost of reloading. Happy painting
Nice job DL2R. I think thin runny (like ink or milk) paint and a gentle touch work best for finer lines. Rolling the brush to a point when loading is also important. I have really taken a liking to the Kevin Hill custom liner brush. The bristles are 1.5" long and you can really load it up with thin paint.
