After I have been painting rather seascapes lately, it was time to go back to the roots. I chose this painting from "paintings by Justin" because most of it is done with the fan brush and I wanted to try it. Justin uses clear gel on white canvas, I started with liquid clear and the colors I have chosen are a little brighter than the Original .My technique is not yet mature but I hope you like it. Many reflexions because its totally fresh from 15 minutes ago. I will post another picture after a week of drying.. The second picture underneath is with modifications and a little more color.
Canvas, 2 x white Gesso, liquid Clear, 18 x 24 cm ( 7.09 x 9.45 inch) Time 3 Hours
Happy "Friday Jr." my friend! π©πͺ This came out super nice! π₯° Forest scenes are my fav to paint, so this one really speaks to me. Looooove your path and grassy areas. They look so natural. I will def have to try this fan brush technique for the grass. Is Justin using oil or acrylic on this one? Is the tutorial on YouTube?
Hey Tomi , thank you very much!!!πππΌ
Hey Beauty, thank you so much. Iβm happy with this Try . He uses oil paint and yes it's on YouTube πππΌπ©πͺ
Really love the sunny crisp look of this scene! Would love to walk on this pathway! Love this so much...terrific job Dirk!
Hey Sandy, thank you so much. Pick me up, let's go through the forest together πππΌ
Sounds like a plan Dirk! LOL!
Pretty
Yes Sandy ! ππππΌ
Hey Cold , thank you . Greetings from germany ππ©πͺ
Well done Dirk :) I like your path and I like the idea of using just a few brushes. Is Justin the βpaint the pain awayβ guy? If it is who Iβm thinking about, I like his technique and style. Great work!
Good Morning Daniel, 06.20 β° in Germany . I think that's him. He says Bob Ross saved his life " paintings by Justin "Many Videos on YouTube. I like his way. The loose approach and not so often to wash the brushes πin addition, I think he paints extremely good skies and clouds. Thanks Daniel
Nice work. Good to practice foliage and you did really well!
Thank you Tom πwas nice to practice and after the seascapes a change
This is smashing Dirk, you did a great job. Justin is always a pleasure to watch isn't he. Just when you think he's got a finished painting he dives back in and adds more detail, and you think it's gonna turn to mud, but it never does. The man's a genius.
Hey TLP, thank you so much for your Great comment. Justin is so relaxed and has some great paintingsππΌπ©πͺ
