Today I had some time to paint something again and decided on my first desert scene by Bill and I have to say in retrospect, it wasn't my comfort zone.
I thought a wood effect in old oak would fit perfectly and started. I had already prepared the wood effect and could start directly with the adhesive tape .With the cutter knife, wavy lines cut and pressed firmly. The inner part again primed with gesso, sanded and applied after 45 minutes, liquid white. It was not quite easy to design the mountains but all in all I am satisfied. Now it's up to you to judge whether you like it. As always fresh from before 35. Minutes, my version of Desert Canyon by Bill Alexander.
Canvas 24 x30 cm( 9,45 x 11,80 Inch) real Wood Effekt. Uv-Tape orange,Gesso, grinded 240/400, liquid white , time 4 hours
The third picture below is slightly modified ,at the bottom left. Have stones etc. integrated.

Very nicely done Dirk! The softness of your background is beautiful and the unique rock formations look great too! ππΊπΈπ©πͺπ
Great job overall on the composition, Dirk. I especially like the soft feel of the sandy slope as a complement to the rock formations and flowering plant.

Hey my super friend. Your words honor me and I am very happy about it. Had a desert scene on the note for a long time and after a few test runs I tried it, there is still room for improvement I think but so far I am satisfied. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart, NancyππΌπ©πͺ
