‘Rough Seas’ is an 8x10” watercolour and gouache painting from a Paul Clark tute (Art by Paul Clark) from Aug 2021, on A4 100% cotton 300gsm AS cold press wc paper. It is part of a series in my program about in learning to paint waves. Enjoy.
Really nice
Very nice.
Thank you Pam, yes it does a bit doesn't it. I was working on the basis of 2 waves colliding when you get a great spray like that. Cheers
Thank you very much Cold and Yucel, greatly appreciated, cheers

Thanks Dirk, cheers
great surf Dave...Make me wanna dive in bro!
Thanks Pietro, I'm pleased you like it. Cheers
This is so beautiful Dave! Lovely play of blue color. I also had perception at the first glance it was a whale tale. Awesome watercolor painting!
Thank you for your great compliments Sunnylady. I was just trying to replicate Paul's tute to learn techniques as part of my ongoing series to better paint better waves. Cheers
Love it Dave.
Thanks Tony, cheers
Very nice structure on the water, that isn't easy as you get to know if you paint more with watercolors.

Great job! I think your wave looks like the shape of a whale tail (very cool)
