‘Late Sunrays on Jacaranda Tree’ is a 16 x 12” oil painting on canvas. I painted this using MJS techniques from photos taken in spring (November) 2017 at our former home hear Toowoomba - with this being the northern view.. The sun was just dropping below next doors shed (on LHS) and was only bathing the top half of our trees in late afternoon sunlight, producing the split effect you see on the Jacaranda tree. At this time of year the Jacaranda has flowered (blue/violet flowers and the low Sunrays showed up as lavender on this tree. I thought this loverly view was worth a painting, so hope you enjoy it.
