’Grazing Cattle’ - based on Joe Cartwright wc tutes and painted on approx 8x10” Baohong 300gsm CP paper - using W&N gouache over DS watercolours. A few things I haven’t got right - part of the learning process; including not doing a thorough review and corrections after the first wc layer. Enjoy, cheers.
Great scene, Dave, super 👍🏼🇩🇪

Thanks Bob, cheers
Awesome job Dave. This is really complex!
wow, love this...so much fine detail.👍
Thank you for your great compliments Tom & Terry, much appreciated. I thought I would challenge myself a bit more, so many more learning opportunities in this. Cheers
Nice work ! Always love to see cows !
Thanks NBH, much appreciated, cheers
Love it! Quite amazing the dark tones you achieved! I did not know it is possible.
Thank you Sunnylady, compliments much appreciated. To achieve the darker tones, have to use wc paint with absolute minimal water or gouache less so. Current painting I'm almost finished will demonstrate the former. Cheers
