Original Creation

‘End of the Track’

DaveJ 13 Mar 2024

‘End of the Track’ is is an 8x10” watercolour (+ some minimal gouache and white pen) painting from a photo l took painted on 100% cotton wc paper. The photo is of an old Holden Ute we see on our travels at property mailbox on the road to Toowoomba. When I walked over to take the photo I discovered that the original business identifier painted on the door was still discernible and that it originally belonged to the antecedent of the organisation I worked for - so a double bonus - so I just enhanced that a bit so that my old workmates can see it better. This painting has just been entered in the current Bundaberg Art Society exhibition (‘Our Journeys’) due to open in a couple of days. Enjoy.
