‘Beach Hut in Portugal’ is the 3rd in this batch of line and watercolour wash paintings his weekend whilst having a few days away from my oils. It is from a Paul Clark tutorial and painted on 300 gsm cotton paper; 18x13cm. Whilst it started out being an ink and wash based on the tute, and as Paul had supplied the original photo, the landscape part started to morph into a more detailed watercolour as I played with and adapted MJS photorealistic techniques; couldn’t help myself. Unfortunately I didn’t find the photo until part way through, so I missed some now obvious set-up things; ah well. Paul is from Sussex (UK) and has many great tutes on his site. Enjoy.
Cool colors.
