‘Autumn Rays’ is painted on a 12x12” canvas board. Because it is a more intricate painting and my acrylic painting control technique is not that brilliant, I did the underpainting also in oil. This painting was more of a challenge, and quite happy with the final outcome.
Dave, fantastic painting! Awesome control of distance and nice touches of purple to contrast fall colors!
Thank you for your great comments and support Sandy and Sunnylady. I appreciate them very much. Cheers
This is very effective, it caught my eye and the detail looks very natural. You have done brilliantly on such a small canvas too, 12" by 12" but you can't tell as the detail is great!
Thank you Robert, yes there is a lot of detail in this painting and I am pleased with the way it finally came together. Cheers
Wow - beautiful! Great job on this! Those leaves on the ground are super, I can hear them crunch underfoot!
love the sun rays ... so good
Thank you Pam. I ended up with an extra thick layer as I initially missed on making them larger towards the front of the painting. Sorry for the delayed response, I thought I attempted that a few days ago, but obviously I messed up.
Thanks David, I was surprised how easy they were to do.
