Category 4 Tropical Cyclone ‘Debbie’ smashed into the North Queensland coast in late March 2017, causing widespread significant damage and flooding. From a number of news videos at the time, I have put together this scene that concentrates on trying to capture the weather itself in a small coastal town, just as it is starting to abate and a small section of cloud is starting to thin. I hope you enjoy.
Great painting. Very bad weather!
Very nice Dave!
Thank you for your kind compliments Cold, Tomi and Brian. Much appreciated. cheers
Super done!👍🏼🇩🇪
Thanks Dirk, much appreciated, cheers
The energy and scene are very hurricane/cyclone like for sure. I have been thru at least 10 since I have been living in Florida. Well done Dave!
Awesome choice of scene, and the sense of movement and rain is well executed. Cheers.
Really great painting!
Thank you Nancy, Jeff and Sandy for your compliments. I am pleased that I was able to depict some of that force of nature, which can be truely horrific. I certainly wouldn't like to be trying to capture it Plein Air. Cheers
Good work!
Thanks Tom, cheers
Great...just like a scene we see so often on our tv screens
Thanks Terry, as you say, a scene too often seen. Chers
