Got inspired by flippergirl’s painting, The I Am. I wanted to do a night sky looking up through evergreens. I thought I did okay with the sort of fish eye perspective, but my wife says it looks like the trees on the ends are falling over, so now I’m not so sure. I welcome constructive feedback!
Thanks 😊. Iron sharpens iron. I’m glad to have a place I can come to find inspiration!
I think that you did a fantastic job with this creation! Really beautiful trees!
Brian!!!!! This is crazy beautiful! Glad you got inspired by Pam! Your stars are sublime! Your trees and sunset are to perfection.
This is a wonderful painting. I think your 'ends falling over' on the trees are the happiest of accidents. Almost gives a fish eye lens look and definitely draws you into the painting. Really a great job Brian.
Well, truthfully the “fish-eye” was intentional. I was trying to direct focus to the sky, as if looking up at night in the forest. My wife didn’t pick up on that and said the trees looked like they were falling over. Therefore, I thought maybe it wasn’t reading the way I intended. Glad to hear a number of you did pick up my intent. Thanks for all the nice comments 😊
Wow, I just realized i never read your whole comment before I answered. I never saw you mentioned fish-eye look, so my comment was made just by looking at painting. Extra good job by you on the happy intentional my friend :)

I am so glad my painting inspired you to create this! I think your perspective is good - beautiful job! Great blending on the gradient sky and nice texture on the evergreens.
