This is a commission I completed for a friend. It is a painting of a train bridge I live near in Prince George, B.C Canada. I was really happy she asked me to paint this- the autumn colours were especially lovely to capture. It is oil on a 12x15 canvas. I found it quite challenging working all the little details onto a canvas that is much smaller than what I've become used to painting on. I really hope she is pleased with it!
At a half mile long, our Grand Trunk Pacific Railway bridge is the longest railway bridge in British Columbia. Designed by French engineer Joseph Legrand, it was completed 100 years ago, at a cost of $1.6 million.
Very Nice! Great job on the bridge!. Picnic table is terrific as well as the foliage. - Especially the red tree on the right.
Really pretty! I'm sure she'll love it!
