I was thinking about painting a Spring painting and remembered this . It was an old dipping bucket that my family used during the Great Depression. My uncle used to have us dip the bucket into the well and take a drink from the well. In the heat of the summer the water we drew with this bucket was ice cold, and incredibly sweet. Since the old family home got indoor plumbing we stopped using the bucket to draw water. That’s when the bucket began growing flowers. A sweet memory of a by gone era.
Indeed a lovely painting and a terrific memory of days gone by!
