Original Creation

Monet's Garden

Barbara 14 Sep 2024

This was an Impressionist tutorial in watercolour and was quite tricky. I thought I'd do a trial run of it on some low-cost A4 watercolour paper before tackling a bigger size and on better quality paper. It is not a complete success but has some worthwhile bits and as usual, I learned heaps.. Let's see if I bother doing it again or go on to new adventures!

Very loose and free with great reflections. I can imagine a family of ducks having a great time.

Very nice watercolor painting and I think not the easiest one!

Really good!

Super, I didn’t recognize it as watercolor at first. Great detail ✌️

Very nice

Monet is not easy to emulate in oil colors, in watercolor it must be extremely difficult. Great job.

Really nice work Barbara!

So very pretty!
