I am not entirely satisfied with this - particularly the house but I am ready to move on. This is not a Bob Ross painting but as you can imagine, I was able to use many of his techniques in this. The thing I like best about this painting is the trunk of the tree. There is a bit more variation in the colour of the bark and grasses at the bottom of the painting than this photo is showing. I used water-mixable oils.
Thanks, DaveJ. Much appreciated.
A perfect example of what Bob's teachings can inspire us to!
Well done Barbara and yes, that gum tree really stands out, next to the house as well!
Another awesome creation! I love the gum tree, the peeling bark and associated shadows are really terrific.
Love the tree in the foreground! Well thought out painting; great depth.
This front tree is wonderful, light and shadow to create shape, colors - it is a fantastic job!
Thanks everyone. I appreciate your kind feedback.
This is such an amazing painting
You did a great job on the tree
Closer objects should stick out and you have some nice shadows underneath to make it balanced
Thanks so much, Michael. I appreciate your feedback.

A really tall, straight, stately gum tree. Your painting looks terrific. Well done.
