My first crack at a black canvas. Used straight titanium white for the water fall then found out later that Bob uses Liquid White. Oops #1.
Oops #2 was the trees on either side of the falls. They were the color of those background trees (which are that color because the sun is shining so brightly on them that they are almost washed out. Yup. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it 🙂).
Anyway, I scraped off the paint, put down some dark color, tree trunks and branches, then added some highlights. Turned out much better.
My big takeaway from this was...can't be afraid to scrape off paint and start over.
