So, I had to take a few years off. unfortunately. However, Im back and Im really enjoying Painting again. I did this based on a Photo of a Lake in Austria. I've been watching, and studying Bob Ross, Bill Alexander, and Nic Hankins for a few months before I picked up the Brushes again.
I chose this time of day because I love the fact there is direct sunlight on some areas, but not in others.
This is my 7th Painting using the Alla Prima (wet on wet) technique.
Im going to try to Paint at least 2-4 Paintings a month :)
10"x20" Canvas
Excellent job
Thank you both very much :) I've been really studying techniques.
This one took me about 8hrs. I kept making small mistakes, then correcting them as I went. So, its still very much a learning experience.
The Depth was achieved by slowly darkening each Mountain range as they became closer and closer. Also, adding in a touch of green as they got closer and closer.
Beautiful! Love your sky and mountains in partcular. The time you spent really paid off.
Great work ππΌπ©πͺ
That's what I call a mountain range, its very impressive! You've also achieved a lovely sheen on the water with stillness overall and just a slight touch of movement which is really calming.
Very nice landscape. All elements look great.
Awesome work! Looks really superb!
