Nice idea for an event! I recently painted a whole bunch of seascapes so I'm kind of tapped in terms of water paintings. I'm wondering if any of these would be acceptable? If not, I think I will respectfully pass up this event. I'm really looking forward to seeing the creative creations, though!
Water Works - Event Discussion
lightsnow May be still life with water fountain and water lily?
lightsnow I've decided to restrict the submission of seascapes like the ones you have submitted lately.
Of course, this doesn't mean that paintings like these are not "good" or "interesting" enough. They simply are part of the standard collection of Bob Ross landscape paintings and I really want submissions to the events to be paintings that push our members and get them to try something new.
if you create a water scene in watercolours, does that give double votes?!
@Voy Kay#559 Only one way to find out!
Felix That makes sense, I completely understand. I think it's a great idea and I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with!
@Felix you asked if I wanted to add my Anatomy of a Wave painting I just uploaded to the water event. Sure, why not!
Winterknight oh sorry, I missed that it was a Bob Ross recreating. Sadly only originals are submitable to the events.
But if you'd like to paint another wave without following along with Bob you're good to go and submit that one!
Felix Felix, how many votes do we have?
Felix thank you. Exactly what I meant.
The upload deadline has passed. Please visit the event page and vote for your favorites!

Everyone did such a wonderful job with their submissions! I am so glad we can vote as much as we want. Every person deserves to win!
Who ended up getting the top entries? Congrats to whoever won!
A few days too late (pardon the delay ) we've finished our "Water Works" event!
We've had 20 great submissions and quite a few members left their comfort zone and tried something new. Well done everybody!
Congrats to Madam Mouton, Evarawks and Wayne Coley Art on the top three most voted submissions!
It looks like the community loves stormy seas and stormy weather.
While I won't disclose the exact amount of votes I can say that it was an extremely close affair
Congratulations to the winners! Well done!
